“There’s gold in them hills”

The Lost Treasure Trail Race is inspired by the legend of none other than Jesse James, the American Outlaw.

Rumour has it that Jesse wanted to escape the long arm of the law in the US so he decided to bring his recently acquired gold coin fortune up to Canada to hide out with his relatives in Mulmur.

The Course

The course is marked with colour coordinated flags that match your bib colour – orange for 10K, blue for 5K.

25K is pink and will be completing 2 loops of the 10K and 1 loop of the 5K – in that order.

We will be marking your bibs after each completed loop at the start/finish so that you know which loop to follow.

Cup-Free / Aid Stations
All of our events are now cup-less. We recommend that you bring your own vessel to carry water.

We will have a 250ml bite-top flask that can be purchased for $15 at bib pickup.

There will be water and Skratch or GU electrolytes at the start line and at the aid station on course which is at approx. 4.5K mark – not quite halfway for the 10K, almost at the end of the 5K so be sure to start your race with some liquids!

25K’ers will have access to another aid station at the start/finish line with salty, sweet and carb snacks, water/electrolytes – you can place anything you need to access between loops in this tented area.

Awards
We will present golden goodies from Ontario Honey Creations to the top 3 male/female finishers in each distance.

Your bib is chip timed; awards are based on overall finish time.

The award ceremony will take place at approximately 11:00am and continue on.

Post Race
We will have some snacks for you after the race. Mansfield Outdoor Centre has lots of picnic tables and open areas if you’d like to spend some time relaxing or exploring.
Parking
Parking is free, please follow marshals for parking location.
Weather
Spring in Ontario can present all sorts of challenges. Come prepared for rain, sun and black flies (not necessarily in that order), we have begun our sun dance as there is rain in the forecast.
